- I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

you've got some good blooms, there! our red bud finally pushed out some blooms, and our poor pear tree is trying, too. even around town, seems things are hesitant to pop out.
Oh, Kathy! I love these. The last one is absolutely gorgeous. I love the antique, romantic feel of it. Do you mind if I make a copy of it? I can almost smell the heavenly scent.

These are STUNNING! I especially love the richness of color in the second photo...but the softness of the other two are amazing as well!
Phoenix has these guys blooming....Tucson...not quite there yet:) But soon....very soon....I like the red flower. I don't often see that color here.
