I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Love it. Wonderful winding road...and cool effect. This could be a photo on one of those motivational posters.
What a scenic road to have by your house!
Lovely curve in this road and you captured it very well
murky and mysterious, but beautiful.
The effect you used makes it appear as though the road is melting away. That's cool. :)
Beautiful piney woods scenery that leaves me wondering what's around that bend in the road!
What a lovely effect!
I really like the feel of this one...makes me think there is a story coming and I want to sit down and hear it.
Ooooh, a favorite. I can almost hear a car coming toward us on the wet pavement.
