- I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Ingenuity and making use of what building materials we have...that's wonderful. At first, I thought Travis may have been the resident of this charming barn. :)
The ladder looks to still be in pretty good shape!
Looks like it might have been constructed of pallets, then covered with corrugated metal. NEAT shot!
I have a hunch that if walls could talk that barn would have a few good stories to share.

Cool old barn! My brother's name is Travis, you don't hear of too many people with that name.
The word 'ramshackle' comes to mind on this one. I don't even know if it is really a word, but that is what came to mind. :)
