I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

I have always liked dogwoods! Nice picture!
Nice composition.
How I LOVE dogwood blossoms - I love the way you single out intriguing things for us to see.
Nice and woodsy and rugged looking!
Ah, it must be Spring!
This is so subtle and lovely. It would make a beautiful card.
I'm amazed that so much is in flower in Texas while it's still so cold here!
Spring is in the Texas air! Looks like someone has been nibbling on this dogwood flower.
Very pretty!
It will still be a while before ours is blooming.
One of my favorite spring blooms!! I saw my first blooms of the season yesterday. They just don't last long enough!
