I just recently attended a baby shower where the nursery theme was giraffes. That new mother would adore these two shots. I could see her hanging them on the nursery wall.
I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

You don't see a giraffe crossing every day--especially where I live!
Empty Horse Corral
so cool! (glad to see you linking in again - hope that means things are beginning to normalize again...)
Great shot...the zoo has so many photo ops!
Good shot.. don't you love them!?
Love, love, love the giraffe! You really captured this well. Hope it was a fun day. :)
Oh, my cousin would love this. She is partial to giraffes.
Giraffes are by far my favorite animal at the zoo. I could watch them for hours.
Well, people have been warned :-)
A Reticulated Giraffe, my favourite species.
Great sign! My sister-in-law is crazy about giraffes and has been since she was a very little girl.
Their skin or hide (whatever) is so gorgeous.
Cool!
