Love the shaggy whiskers on that beauty. Here's a little funny...I didn't realize people shaved their horses until we got our own horse. I had no idea they got shaggy in the winter. :)
I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Kathy, he is such a beauty! Loving that big tree in the background.
I agree, the whiskers are great! Same horse in B&W on other blog?
This looks like a gentle soul.
Pretty gal!
I read your title and expected a blue halter - worn by a photogenic girl . . . a two-legged girl!! But this girl is definitely photogenic, too!
My immediate thought was Hello Handsome...but then maybe he is a she.
What a beauty, and he looks like he is posing for you.
Lovely capture of this docile beast.
