I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Lovely shot, your blue hydrangea is gorgeous.
This is one of my favorites! Some of them do grow here in Tucson. Lovely plant....especially the blue variety:)
these are my favorite flowers
I love their fullness and all the amazing colors
this blue is perfect
I love hydrangea! But mine will not be blue for quite some time yet.
Lovely! The soil here is too alkaline here for blue. So they bloom pink... if I were to grow them in a very protected spot, that is.
WOW - so lovely!!
One of my favorites from my Grandma's garden. I've never been able to grow them. Beautiful.
My sister in law the florist LOVES Hydrangeas, and I grew to love them too after staying with her for awhile.
One of my favorite flowers ....love the color!
What a lovely blue-grey that flower-head is...
