I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Gotta love these old doors. I can still see a little red paint left!
that is a great combination of cement, old wood and metal!
Oh, nice Eye-talian architecture!
Great choice. Old wood, brick, concrete, metal awning (rusty to boot), greenery. Great textures.
Great old door. Love all the texture in this photo!
I like the worn look, doors with a history.
Love the rustic feel of this one!
At least this one has steps. :)
I like this! I think it's interesting it's from Italy, Texas --- when I was in Italy (the country), I took a lot of door photos. :)
Wonderful shot, Kathy!
