I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

oh those vines! we have some growing on our fence lines but nothing as thick as this...
Hmm..what's that they are growing?
That fence could be completed covered with vines before the end of summer!
I always enjoy your pics of weathered wood! I'm sure this was once a busy part of farm life!
Is that Virginia creeper that's taking over?
Very cool composition Kathy. Wonderful balance and point of view.
This reminds me so much of my uncle's farm in southern Illinois! Weeds and vines run amok!
Wow, that;s a lot of vines.
Such a lush find!
