I love wrought iron fences. It seems many cemeteries have them. I love visiting cemeteries too, especially looking at old tomb stones. Thanks for you visit. Happy Easter.
Oh I love that iron fence! Are you a cemetery walker too? I especially love the old cemeteries. The old marble stones that are hand engraved are works of art...
I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Happy Easter.
Hi Kathy, the second fence reminds me of the old cemetery in Julia, CA that we visited last year.
This must be an old cemetery.
These old fences certainly add a charm to the site - always interesting to visit an old cemetery!

great rust.
oh i love these! i'm a huge fan of old cemeteries with wrought iron!
LOL, great minds. I really like your cemetery fence. And, yes, I agree with your post below. I've learned a lot researching before posting.
Love the rust, I think it fits in perfectly.
The rusty ones are always so lovely, too!
It looks like it is standing the test of time...would love to know how old it actually is.
It's interesting that cemetery fences seem to outlast a community. I guess in a sense rust is the color of time! Beautiful shots, as always!
I like wrought iron
the rust is beautiful, I call it nature's paint
I like what Madge said..."cemetery walker"...perfect. Love all the different angles of fences in the first shot. Nice!
You hit the jackpot with all these fences!
Tell Me, Sister Crow
Great photos, Kathy and the rusted ironwork is in keeping with the taphophile mood.
Rust galore! Lovely.
Old cementaries have the best fences in my opinion. Love the rust!
Wonderful fence!

Wow, great fences!
I have always wondered by cemetery/family plots have fences. Who are they trying to keep out?
Love the photos, Kathy!
