I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

But great that you captured it like this--beautiful composition and contrasts.
That's beautiful photo. It looks very cold.

Beautiful photo!
I wish our snow would thaw, we got yet another 6 inches yesterday. I am so ready for spring.
those rust colored leaves pop out at you from the snowy background.
Oh my. I love it!
Love!this view! We didn't get any snow - just sleet and rain - and it was messy!
Didn't mean to place punctuation after "love"!!
Very pretty photo - almost glows.
Kathy! You are getting some gorgeous shots! I'm so glad you're out enjoying time with your camera.
Is that some pretty cool processing there? Love the photo.
This and the photo above are just spectacular! Really beautiful. The Almost Frozen photo has a whimsical feel to it.
