I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

like wings stretching out into the world...
Beautiful, the contrast between the 'dead' wood and new growth.
Great contrast! Love the heart-shaped leaves!
Simple and effective! Love it!
You have wonderful photographs on your photo journal.
So pretty!
sweet photo, Kathy.
Lots of random hearts in that photo!
Not random hearts, Tracy. Hearts just for you. :) Great shot, Kathy! I love natural colors and subjects.
THis is very nice. I like how the wood makes a nice contrast to the green 'hearts.'
A secret garden of the imagination. I imagine myself walking through a neglected yard and this vine is left undisturbed to climb. Really nice.
Did I already tell you that I love your photos? :)
I love this shot. And I agree with Dona. LOVE your photos.
