The Last Daisy

Mom and I found this last, lone gerbera daisy in a flower bed.  Some of her petals were a bit askew and appeared to have been chewed on by something but she still made a beautiful picture.

Lovely. Your post title made me think of Thurber's "The Last Flower".

I'm looking at that bright yellow flower and behind my computer is a wide window looking onto white white snow. . .so that yellow daisy stands out beautifully.

The flowers bloom so late into the year there! And they will begin blooming soon too. Winter is so short in Texas!
