Eerie Eye
This is Cheyenne. Her eyes sometimes photograph blue. I haven't been able to figure that one out yet.
Disclaimer: At this point in my life, I do not own any animals. All animals in photographs either belong to friends or neighbors or are animals I encounter in my daily ramblings.

Stuck in the Weeds
I experienced one of those slam-on-the-brakes moments a few weeks ago while cruising through the small community of Chireno, Texas, when I spotted this once-upon-a-time beauty out of the corner of my eye. There was nothin' doin' but turning around and going back fora closer look. It was actually parked next to a metal building that sported a sign "Chireno Volunteer Fire Department." Too bad it wasn't kept in better shape for future generations to see what an early-day but somewhat modern fire truck looked like. My guess is this would have been used in the 1950s or '60s. Any of you out there with a thought on the vintage?

My Favorite Alleyway
Every time I visit San Augustine, Texas,
I find myself seeking out my favorite alleyway to make sure it hasn't changed.

Sharing a Morsel of Hay
Morsels is all some horses are getting this winter. Due to the 18-month drought in this area, the summer hay crop was practically nonexistent and the price of hay is right up there with truffles and caviar!
